Graduating with a final grade point average of 3.90, Mr. Johnson was awarded a master's degree in Human Factors in Aeronautics from the Florida Institute of Technology. Classes included situational awareness, human factors in man-machine systems, sensation and perception, human physiology, human performance, human-computer interaction and aviation accident reconstruction. On October 19, 2017, Dr. Scarber was interviewed via Skype about a crash involving a tire separating from a truck on GA 400 in Atlanta. On November 3, 2017, Mr. Robinette gave a presentation to the Birmingham Police Department Traffic Homicide Unit and Jefferson County District Attorneys about evidence preservation and case preparation for prosecution.
